Hong Kong based Forise Holdings has received approval to build what will become Queensland’s tallest tower (in roof height), at 295 metres eclipsing Q1 tower by 20 metres (275m to roof height).
The $1.2 billion development is located at 3 Trickett St, Surfers Paradise, situated directly opposite the beachfront and Surfers Paradise Esplanade.
The DBI designed tower will have 693 apartments and three levels of recreation decks.
An infinity pool on the 88th floor is planned which will boast views across the Gold Coast, looking down on Queensland’s current tallest tower, Q1.
$2 million in public art is being proposed for the project which is directly located opposite Surfers Paradise Esplanade. Among the biggest public art features will be an external LED lighting system that will create a rain-like illusion down the building’s facade.
The Forise Holdings tower surpasses Brisbane’s current tallest tower – Brisbane Skytower.
Groundworks for the site are scheduled to commence January 18th.
The DA number for this development is MCU201500917.
