Wang Jianlin’s Dalian Wanda Group who recently flagged plans to build a multi-billion dollar theme park on the Gold Coast is reported to be closing in on a deal to buy a majority holding of Legendary Entertainment who are the producers of Jurassic World, Interstellar and a range of high budget blockbuster movies which indicates that Wanda may be chasing the Jurassic World rights to build a park in Australia.

Wanda, who already own Australia’s largest cinema company Hoyts and US cinema chain AMC, is currently in negotiations with the Queensland Government to build a theme park between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, likely in the existing Coomera Theme Park zone.
