New Mixed Use Hotel/Residential Tower for Fortitude Valley

Update: Brisbane City Council has given the green light for a new proposal for a mixed use 15 level, 4-5 star hotel and residential tower, submitted by Portfolio Pty Ltd.

Situated at 21 and 25 Morgan Street and 72 McLachlan Street, Fortitude Valley, the project includes:

  • A purpose built 4-5 hotel star, comprising 152 boutique hotel rooms, gym, pool deck, meeting facilities, lobby lounge and other various associated hotel services
  • Eight levels of residential product containing a mixture of 79 1 and 2 bedroom multi-unit dwellings, which can also support the Hotel as Short Term Accommodation
  • 313m2 of commercial space capable of containing a restaurant or cafe style use with outdoor terrace intended to be directly associated with the hotel use.

Designed by Ryall Smyth Architects, the proposed development sits opposite the Austral / Volvo site and is currently zoned to accommodate a 15 storey development under Code Assessment.
