A new proposal has been submitted to council for a 20 storey residential and hotel tower located at 28 McDougall St, Milton.
Designed by Ceccato Hall + Associates, the proposal which is an extension of the current Coro Hotel complex includes x35 two bedroom apartments and x168 hotel rooms as well as a lobby, café, bar, conference centre, restaurant and rooftop pool and gym.
A previous development application was lodged with council and approved in late 2011 for a 15 storey, 132 room hotel. The additional 5 levels in the new development application accommodates 35 residential units, and rationalises the room configuration of hotel rooms to include a total of 168.
The new DA notes the following:
“That in the surrounding area, there are a number approvals issued by Council for residential and mixed-use developments ranging from 11 to 30 storeys in height. The height of the development reflects the context of the site and its proximity to the CBD.”
