Diversified property group FKP is paving the way for construction to begin on the Milton, a $210 million project, with sales pushing past $100 million.

More than 60 per cent of apartments have now sold off-the-plan, with strong interest for Brisbane’s first major integrated Transit Oriented Development (TOD) to be released under the new South East Queensland Regional Plan.

As part of construction preparation, FKP will relocate The Milton Sales Centre to a nearby site over the Christmas and New Year period, with enquiries expected to ramp up in anticipation of the tower coming out of the ground.

FKP Head of Queensland Developments Gary Kordic says the TOD concept has appealed to buyers along with the high quality of the design and prime Milton location, and with construction set to commence in the coming months, he expects the momentum to continue.

“We are looking forward to getting The Milton out of the ground, and we expect the strong demand to continue, particularly with buyers seeking to take advantage of the TOD design, which takes convenience and liveability in Brisbane to a new level,” he said.

“It is located adjacent to Milton Railway Station, just two train stops from the CBD, giving residents front door access to the rail line, allowing them easy access to destinations right across Brisbane.

“The TOD concept has been embraced in major metropolitan cities around the world, and while it is new to Brisbane, it will transform the way residents think about where and how they live.”

“The Milton offers a truly unique lifestyle, with connectivity to public transport that, at present, simply isn’t available at any other development in Brisbane. It presents a rare opportunity for buyers to embrace the best in apartment living.”

The Milton, which was designed by award-winning Queensland architects DBI Design, will boast exclusive luxury furnishings from Giorgio Armani’s Armani/Casa division, within its resident facilities.

Mr Kordic, says the Armani/Casa furnishings have been selected to infuse the development with a rare, ultra luxurious ambiance which is the signature of Armani Casa collection.

“The facilities have been carefully designed to go a step beyond anything else in Brisbane and the inclusion of the Armani/Casa range will ensure our residents have exclusive access to some of, if not the, most luxuriously furnished spaces in the city,” he said.

“The Milton is all about breaking the mould, about creating a development that does justice to its unique site, just off Park Road, and offers something truly different for Brisbane.

“The high quality finishes, location and liveable design are key drivers behind the sales success to date.”

The Milton will measure 30 levels and, along with residential apartments, will include a leisure deck with pool and barbeques, roof top observation deck and street level retail precinct.

One and two-bedroom apartments are now selling off-the-plan, priced from only $495,000, with completion expected in 2015.

Marketing agent Bryce O’Connor, of 360 Project Marketing says purchasers have identified that now is the time to invest in Brisbane and The Milton has combined all the elements that buyers are attracted to in this market.

“The development offers unparalleled connectivity and lifestyle benefits, with a host of quality amenities on its doorstep, just steps from Park Road’s dining and shopping precinct,” he said.

“The Milton’s contemporary design, with spacious liveable apartments and generous balconies to take in uninterrupted city views from the top floor apartments, just can’t be matched under the planning requirements of any other development in the area.

“Milton has historically been one of Brisbane’s most sought-after suburbs and The Milton is meeting the mark the mark in terms of location, price and quality.”
