A development application has been submitted for the reconfiguration of the rooftop of the Mercedes Benz Autohaus in Newstead to accommodate a new restaurant, bar and function space.

Designed by Paul Kelly Design, along with the function space, the restaurant would also include a reception area, outdoor terrace and public bar.

Internal changes would include changing a small area of the outdoor terrace and raised landscape beds to be converted to male and female toilets servicing restaurant patrons.

The proposed amenities are located in a discrete portion of the rooftop well away from the key corners on the eastern facade and the amenities are not visible from the ground plane.
