A development application for a twin tower development with heights of 34-storeys and 46-storeys has been approved by the Gold Coast City Council.
Located at 2-20 River Terrace, Surfers Paradise, the mixed-use development comprises of 503 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, 280 short term hotel suites and 5 townhomes in the podium levels.
Known as ‘River Terrace’, the architects behind the development, Plus Architecture have designed the towers to twist upwards as they ascend from the podium levels.
According to the architects this twisting tower form gives the development a unique identity on the gold coast skyline. The towers also feature ‘Gold Coast style’ wrap around balconies and floor-to-floor glazing that allows direct views of the ocean, river and hinterland.
Developed by Sunnyland Group, the project consists of two stages with stage one being the north tower and stage two the south tower.

I like them. The wrap around balcony idea is mint.
