The $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct has been steadily transforming Brisbane’s skyline and now The Star Brisbane has unveiled a first snapshot of what’s inside.
Ahead of a staged opening from April 2024, The Star Brisbane has delivered a sneak preview of the first of more than 50 new venues and experiences that will make up the 12-hectare precinct, including The Star’s signature luxury hotel, a sprawling Sports Bar, Brisbane’s largest hotel ballroom and a reimagined Fat Noodle restaurant by celebrity chef Luke Nguyen.
At the heart of the resort is The Star Grand; Brisbane’s newest five-star hotel offering 340 luxury rooms across two arc-shaped towers overlooking Brisbane River.
According to Star, unforgettable experiences are at every corner from the moment guests arrive, with exquisite finishes, bespoke touches, and a luxurious oversized freestanding bathtub in each of the four Skyline Penthouse Suites.

Hotel guests will have exclusive access to three pools on the resort’s Leisure Deck, a 12,000m2 open-air oasis which delivers two football fields of public space, plus direct access to The Star Brisbane’s striking showpiece Sky Deck, a 250m rooftop runway of restaurants and bars floating 100m above the Brisbane River.
The Star Brisbane Chief Operating Officer, Kelvin Dodt, said the milestone unveiling was a glimpse of what’s to come as Queensland’s newest entertainment and leisure destination propels towards its 2024 opening.
“We are incredibly excited to be able to share a first look inside The Star Brisbane – the entertainment hub of the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct which will transform Brisbane as we know it,” Mr Dodt said.
“From a selection of Brisbane’s grandest hotels to delectable dining, spectacular sky-high views, and unique experiences for locals and tourists alike, The Star Brisbane promises to celebrate the best of our river city.”

With more than 50 new food and beverage venues set to make up Queen’s Wharf, it’s no surprise that some of the world’s top chefs have signed on for the future-shaping precinct.

Celebrity chef Luke Nguyen is amongst The Star Brisbane’s culinary headliners, with his popular South-East Asia food restaurant Fat Noodle confirmed for a reimagined experience and brand-new venue with fresh new flavours and increased capacity.
Nguyen, who has enjoyed a decade-long partnership with The Star across its Brisbane and Sydney resorts, said he was proud to be a part of the destination’s world-class restaurant offering.
Brisbane is on the precipice of being the next foodie capital of Australia; the food offerings, the art and culture, and tourism is growing, and the city is making a name for itself in its own right. The Star Brisbane is also home to a 732m2 Sports Bar; the city’s premier venue to celebrate the world’s biggest matches, races and games.
Endorsed by the homegrown Brisbane Broncos – the Sports Bar boasts over 100m2 of mega LED screens and stadium-like surround sound, plus three exclusive VIP booths large enough to seat an entire NRL team.
Also confirmed is The Star’s signature cocktail bar Cherry – a chic companion to The Star’s popular Sydney and Gold Coast venues by the same name – which will reflect the atmosphere and energy of its central location within the resort, offering a vibrant and bold 360-degree bar.
Meanwhile, Food Quarter will focus on fresh food and fast service to deliver a one-stop café for a laidback lunch or late-night bite.
With this raft of reveals comes the launch of bookings for one of Australia’s most anticipated event destinations, The Star Brisbane’s Event Centre, purpose-designed for spectacular events of every scale.
Anchored by Brisbane’s largest hotel ballroom – with the capacity to cater for up to 2,000 guests – the state-of-the-art Event Centre draws inspiration from Queensland’s subtropical landscape and signals a thrilling new era for events in Brisbane.
Positioned at the heart of the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, The Star Brisbane will deliver four future luxury hotels, an array of restaurants and bars, world-class entertainment, and luxury retail.
