As Brisbane continues to punch out new bars and restaurants, the Katarzyna Hospitality Group, who own Brisbane’s Cloudland, Empire and Family nightclubs are proposing to revamp the old riverside building in Southbank.
The proposal includes new restaurants, bars, cafes, function rooms and rooftop terrace which overlooks the CBD.
– Proposed ground floor level.
– Proposed rooftop terrace.
The proposed redevelopment will result in a number of benefits for the site and the Precinct as a whole, including the refurbishment of the deteriorating Riverside Restaurants building, which was designed over 20 years ago and has been vacant since the 2011 Brisbane River floods.
The site also provides an extremely exciting opportunity for South Bank residents and visitors with a 7 days a week licensed venue for breakfast, lunch, dinner and function reception events.
The proposed venue will cater to all ages, and particularly emphasise the casual dining experience within the parkland setting.
The proposed hours of operation are from 6am to 3am, Monday to Sunday (7 days per week).
It is not known whether this project will be completed in time for the G20 in November.
The DA for this development is (A003783822).
Pass, Southbank is far to dear already.
great plan. awesome architecture. However, is there a disaster plan for this building in case of big waves or tsunami?
