Work has commenced on the new Skygate Home & Life centre at Brisbane Airport.
Located adjacent to the existing DFO, the 9,260m² large format retail centre has attracted pre-commitments from tenants including Nick Scali, Pillow Talk, James Lane and Lighting Illusions.
Scheduled for completion in September 2018, Skygate Home & Life is being developed by Brisbane Airport Corporation’s (BAC) property division, BNE Property.
BAC General Manager of Commercial Businesses John Tormey said the new centre is a reflection of the airport’s growth as a vibrant retail, dining and leisure hub.

“We are very pleased to welcome such high-quality, renowned brands to the Brisbane Airport community,” Mr Tormey said.
“The precinct continues to gain momentum as a vibrant commercial and lifestyle destination, with a growing number of businesses choosing to base their operations out of the airport precinct due to its excellent amenity and connectivity.
“Skygate Home & Life will further strengthen this amenity for residents, visitors and workers.”
CBRE’s Damian Crocetti and Andrew Brimson have been exclusively appointed to lease the centre.
“Skygate Home & Life creates an exciting opportunity for retailers looking to expand their footprint in Queensland within one of the region’s fastest growing lifestyle precincts,” Mr Crocetti said.
