The Seymour Group has lodged an application to build a 22 level office tower on a parcel of land in Bowen Hills. The project is known as 58-66 Abbotsford Road and is the latest urban renewal / TOD project to grace Bowen Hills. Metro Properties is set to kickstart major urban rejuvenation projects which will see Bowen Hills become a place of interest.

Brisbane’s newest property development company Metro Properties has submitted proposals for two towers in the ULDA controlled Bowen Hills Urban Development Area (UDA). The towers which are located next to each other on Mayne Road and Campbell Street in Bowen Hills signify the start of a complete transformation of the currently desolate area. Light commercial and industry make up this area of Bowen Hills which has been zoned as a UDA area due to its close proximity to Bowen Hills Station and the CBD.  Read More

Brisbane’s future RNA Showgrounds can expect a mixed use precinct with improved linkages, fresh food markets and other amenities.

UPDATE HERE | This is an artist’s impression of what the RNA Showgrounds could look like after it undergoes an urban renewal process which will see a residential population of around 10,000 people and a predicted 8,000 strong workforce. The Bowen Hills area is earmarked for large scale redevelopment as it is in close proximity to key activity centres as well as rail infrastructure. Lend Lease, which now holds the rights to develop Brisbane’s RNA showgrounds has released it’s new DA, pending approval by the Urban Land Development Authority (UDLA).  Read More
